Default Dyno numbers inside...b18c1 hatch!

I got my car tuned last weekend at Intercrew in Richardson, TX.

'93 hatch
-b18c1
-b16 AEM cai
-JDM DC 4-1 header
-2.5" exhaust (running under the gas tank, mimicing the RSR setup)
-Mugen headgasket
-Skunk2 IM
-Skunk2 stage 1 cams
-Chipped p28 w/ a vafcII for tuning

Chart down below!!

vtec crossover = 4800rpms
175hp and 123trq

Let me know what you think, I was pretty happy with it.

Mike

EDIT: I have stock cam gears, so there were no adjustments made there.

i almost have the same setup except for the vafc, and cold air intake, do you think you'll loose power using a stock eg6 airbox

Yeah you'll definately loose some power with a stock airbox on that setup...probably about 5hp or so.

I'm on a friends computer, b/c my internet is down....soo, I cant get pictures of the dyno chart up, but here are the numbers.....

vtec crossover = 4800rpms
175hp and 123trq

That's ok. Maybe some more tuning. My friends GSR hatch hit 171 stock internals w/ full bolt-on's. I have seen 180+ from skunk2 stage 1's and milling the head.

I believe the stock ratings are at the flywheel, not to the wheels.

Nobody should come in here ragging and trying to compare "my boy's GS-R motor" because every dyno is totally different.

Dynos are awesome tuning tools, but trying to compare my dyno to yours across states, etc. is pointless.

What type of dyno was this?

I cannot really comment other than to say it sounds pretty impressive to me, but did you dyno the engine before the mods?

It was a dynojet.

I didn't have the car dynoed before any of the modifications, so not much to base it off of except what I could normally expect out of a stock gsr, maybe like 150hp or so.

Also, I forgot to mention, I have stock cam gears, so there was no adjustments that could be made to the cams.

Well I'm sure I would be at 180+ if I raised the compression, but I'm not going to mill the head. I'll up the compression through higher compression pistons after this summer.

Yeah. It was my first time there. I was pretty impressed, they seem like they know what they're doing. I'd give them a

What were the numbers before you started mucking with the VAFC?

ie: What numbers showed up on the first run?

I believe the first pull was 169 or so. So 5hp by tuning the VAFC is pretty good. But our main focus was strengthening the curve, which is very nice. I'll have my roommate take a picture of the dyno chart tonight...
