Air Flow Sensor
k...quick question, i was wiring up my SAFC...and i dont know if my DX has the hot-wire/flap/pressure type sensor or the karmann freq sensor?
i thought it was the pressure type...just need to confirm....thanks

Sounds like you're describing a MAF or Mass Air Flow system, which is how some cars measure how much air is coming into the engine (some Toyotas, Mazdas, DSM's, pretty much every OEM turbo car). Most Hondas (if not all of them) use a MAP system, or Manifold Absolute Pressure. It uses a sensor that measures the amount of vacuum in the intake manifold and from that figures out how much air is coming into the engine. The problem with the Honda MAP sensors is that they cannot read positive pressure (or boost) and tend to freak out if a turbo is installed.

yea...i need to get myself one of those...for now im just gonna run 6lbs, till i build the block...so stick with the stocker. thanks guys...

I'm pretty sure the ECU will throw a code if the MAP sensor detects ANY boost. I'm not sure though.
