The car isn't worth $23K. That is essentially the MRSP at the time.

Okay... almost 5 years old and only 25 miles. Can you say engine rebuild???
Just sitting there for 5 years would have to destroy the engine, and probably a lot more. What a dumbass.

if its Larry's R, then it has been mod'd, unless he owns two of them. He has pictures of the 97 R all on his site with his charger, etc...
oh yeah here's a picture from Endyn's site showing the inside of the car. Look carfully at the miliage. That doesn't look like 27miles to me. However like I said, he could have another '97 R that has just been sitting their.

I'm perfectly happy with my 97.
96 K miles and still going strong on my original motor.

In all honesty, this is the type of ITR that will be worth something someday to collectors. I don't think the 98s or 00/01s will be worth dick to collectors 20 years from now. But a 97 will, for sure. Because there were so few of them with TRUE collector's aspect to it.

Not to diss anyone by saying this, because personally I think the 97 front end and *** end are ugly as hell in comparison to the 98s.. but this is what I think.

If I had 23k sitting around, I'd buy this thing, put it in storage, and forget about it.
It would be an extra if Larry has the original window sticker to go with the car.

That is Larry's. I saw the car with my own eyes, touched it even. Its in a Self-Storage with another Type-R, he has 2 of them.

Its all dusty and dirty as hell, but it only has like 25 miles on it. He has a battery charger hooked up to it full time...

The reason he bought it was because it was supposed to be like a 99 Si...just a few years run, but Honda decided to make it for several more years...which pretty much ruined larry's plan. Which he has admitted to me several times about how pissed he is at honda making more...

Jeff

I hardly think the type R will ever be worth much down the road. It is best to drive the hell out if it, enjoy it and buy something else when you are done. Don't get me wrong, I love driving mine and I don't regret it. However, it is a japanese car...which essentially means it will not appeal to collectors. The only one I can think of is the toyota 2000GT. There are way too many integras....including the type r to ever be considered limited. The type R may hold its value a bit more than the other integras, but that is it.

You have to remember down the road people like us who either had an ITR or wanted one Will see this car 20-30 years from now and feel nostalgic, Same reason everyone Loves my Chevelle and the people who usually do are 40-50 years old because it came out in their youth and they either had one or wanted one so when they see it now it brings bacl memories.

If I dont have one of mine in 20 years trust me if I see one I would pay its weight in gold for it, just for the memories
