HELP! Does anyone have pics of what a 1.5" drop will do to my 98 Accord sedan?
I have 18" chrome rims on my 98 accord sedan and am about ready to do a descent drop on it to get that gap out of there. I was planning on going with tokico gas schocks and springs that will drop it 1.5". Does anyone have pics of what this might look like?
THANKS

1.5 with 18's isnt gonna get rid of ur gap too much....itll help but it wont do much... go for more like a 2 inch gap...18's will lift you off the ground so you wont have to worry too much about scraping. good luck tho man.

2" Drop is the point of no return of needing a camber kit..it comes down to what you want...IF you are looking for no wheel gap then you are going to need a camber kit. If you dont want to have to cough up the cash for a camber kit then you will most likely have wheel gap unless you roll some bling bling 22's

As far as wheel gaps no..but depending on your suspension selection the ride quality and handling could increase quite a bit even with only a 1.5

go outside and measure the gap you get from the top of your tire to the bottom of the wheel well...if i were you i would leave about no finger gap in the rear and one finger gap in the front (if all accords ride height is the same then that should make it nice and level). that will make it look very nice in terms of getting rid of your gap... but you might need the camber kit, which can run you a couple hundred bucks, but is worth it in the end... im riding on kyb agx's with eibach sportlines and they give me about 1.5 fingers in the rear and about 2.5 fingers in the front... its PERFECT for me because i dont scrape (im also careful)... but im also riding on 15's... your 18's will more than likely lift you up a lil. so you will be higher off the ground with no gap. if you just do a lil research on springs and struts (or jus springs if thats what your after) then you will find exactly what you need to get exactly what you want. its alllllllllll up to you. seach honda-tech for members opinions on what they have, and search actual manufacturer's websites on stats. ull never regret it.

yo thanks guys I appreciate that....I just measured and I am at 2.5" at the rear and 3" at the front.
If I go down 2", will I scrape...I really have no idea what it will do so sorry for sounding stupid...Thanks

i remember there being a spring that goes 2.25 in the front and and 2.0 in the rear...or vice versa... but that sounds like a good kind of spring to get... you dont want to get rid of the gap up front completely because then you will hit your tires on your fender and that is a no-no. but do a lil research and find something that lowers the front and rear around 2 inches both. you will love the drop. and dont go cheap, get name brand. itll last longer and ride better. let us know if you need any more help and what you end up deciding on. good luck man.
EDIT: forgot to mention... if you go down 2 inches, you can scrape if your not careful... like going into driveways that are at an incline...you jus gotta take it sideways and slow... you will be totally fine.

Depends on what you are driving over..Speedbump at 40 mph yup...crawling over a speedbump..nope **driving a lowered car takes some getting used to and you will find this out when you hit the ground**

aiite thanks for all the help guys...though I think a 2" drop would make the car look so dope..i think I'm about to do a 1.5" drop.......save money, save off having to get a camber kit, and also not having to be even more careful about bumps etc. Anything else I should know?? Thanks.
