Pricing H22's!? Need Some info
If the H22A Redlines at 7200, and my accord redlines at 6200 can you buy faces that have a different line point??? (dumb question)
Also have any of you had any major problems after an H22A Swap was complete? (using prelude tranny ecu engine etc...and redoing the timing & balancing belt, pumps etc...)
Next i'm getting an H22 for $3400 CDN (2600 USD), and getting it installed for 1000 CDN (760 USD), is that a good price???
sounds like a good price to me... is it a complete changover, just the engine tranny and ecu, or just a longblock...im guessin its a complete changer over. you can get aftermarket indiglo gauges that would prolly work...or you could always try fabricating a type SH prelude gauge cluster into your accord... maybe even find a euro-r or type-r accord cluster and fabricate it into your accord if any fabrication is needed... you got plenty of options if you got plenty of money time and know-how. good luck man.
thats a pretty good price. the install price sounds pretty good too. are you getting it from a local place or off the internet? there's is a place close to me that sells front clips that they import from japan. a lot of the nissan guys around her get their clips from them. They want $2,595 for a BB4 prelude front clip which is the whole front end, it includes guage cluster, dash (right hand drive), and fuel pump. i think im gonna save up and get it.

yeah dude when i saw that price i was like whoa! and they are a pretty reputable shop. I have yet to hear any bad things about them. my buddy just bought an s13 conversion from them for $900. they also have a BB1 front clip for $2495 but it has 86,000 miles. the bb4 only has 33,000 miles on it. they aren't really a junkyard persae, they just import half cuts and jdm parts, they have another store in Japan.
and the great thing is, they have the guage cluster in there to prove the miles. I'm thinking of buying it, taking out everything i need to swap and selling whats remaining of the cut to a prelude owner so they can do a RHD conversion.

I'm getting it from a local shop, they do the most H22 swaps in the city, they order it from Japan, and it's all legit and stuff. So yeah should work pretty well.
