RIP to #1171
Oct 4, I was involved in a bad accident in my R. I was speeding, lost control (possibly gravel on the curve) , went down an embankment and flipped over. I landed on the roof and broke my right leg. I was in the hospital for 1 week, but I am now home and recovering. I have a metal rod through my entire right femur (upper leg, largest bone in the body). I cannot walk unassisted yet, but I am 100% sure of a full recovery. I went and saw the car a few days ago and took a bunch of pics. This was not street racing either, just unnecessary speeding.
Appreciate what you have and think about what you could lose. Drive careful, because no matter how good of a driver you are, you can never know what might happen that is out of your control.
The car both nearly killed me, and also saved my life. I am very lucky to only have the minimal injuries I received and I am thankful to be alive at all.
I will not replace the R with another one.
I will also not be on very much, so I may not respond for a while.
Everyone who's seen the car, including myself, cannot believe that anyone could have survived...

Wow, that's awful, glad your okay though. So were you ejected from the car? What are you going to get if not another R? Again, glad your okay though that's what is really important.

What was it like? I was in an accident once and it seemed like everything slowed down like in the matrix. I bet tumbling down the hill was the longest 10 seconds of your life
I hope everything is covered under your insurance, and a speedy recovery to you!

i agree with victor. dang.. i know you must feel shitty right now that you dont have the ITR anymore.. but glad that youre ok. things happen for a reason.
