I AM TRYING TO PUT A 1991 HONDA PRELUDE MOTOR IN A 1985 PRELUDE, HOW DO I MAKE IT FIT, WHAT KIND OF MODIFICATIONS DO I HAVE TO DO?

 

Don't do it your going to be swapping a crappy motor for.... A crappy motor!!!

Btw you do know you can turn caps lock off and still type right? Or if you lost that button please don't post till you find it ha ha.

Best off getting the ones that allow you to put b series motors in it.

 

Isnt the 91 prelude motor a b20a5? 140hp and like 115 ft.lb

 

Place Racing has a mount kit that allow you to swap in almost any b-series motor. everything from a B16 to a B20. i would go that route because there is a huge aftermarket for those motors so the possibilities are endless. i forgot what the part # was unfortunately...

 

Thats' what it's rated at i think maybe a little more torque.

But at the wheels it only makes 110 h.p. and 115 lb foot of torque. Not very good considering it's displacement and that the car it comes in weighs 2700 lbs.
