Any tips for installing an AEM CAS on a 93 Accord?
I just purchased a 93 Accord LX. I plan to install an AEM CAS on it this weekend. I searched and found a few tips like using a rubber hose to protect the pipe from the sharp edges left after cutting the hole. I was hoping to get more info to help me out in the install since the AEM instructions are kinda bad. Good thing I have a Hayes manual handy to cross reference the parts that they are referring to. I don't have a reciprocating saw (sawzall), should I buy one? I do have a jig saw and tin snips but I'm not sure how thick that metal part is. Would a metal cutting blade on a jig saw work? Would I have neough space to use it in there? Did you just drill holes side by side? How about cutting slits then bending the metal to make the hole bigger.
How did you secure that foam filter to the air boost valve/starting air valve? I was thinking of stuffing the foam into the vac hose. Bad idea? I'm not sure if I even got all the parts since there were some listed in the parts list (1/8" rubber grommet, 1/8" nylon str. conn.) but actually were not even mentioned in the install guide and some parts were mentioned in the guide but its hard to figure out which is which (like rubber cap and vacuum plug, which is the vacuum cap 3/16"?) Hopefully
i can wing it.
I just got the package this evening so I was not able to contact AEM, so any input would definitely help! Specially with cutting that darn hole!
Thanks!

Thank you so much for that link
! I really did not have much time over the weekend since I had to JB weld the radiator, tighten some clamps for the power steering hose, and replace the torque rod. Lots of work but nothing leaks now! I hope... I did have time to take the OE intake and battery. I also wanted to call AEM today before proceeding, apparently their parts list is generic - that explains why I don't have some of the parts. And they did tell me to stuff the foam in the ABV but stuffing it in the hose (from your link) makes more sense. Again, thanks for that link. I'm off to Sears this afternoon so I can grab a reciprocating saw. I gues I just have to wing it when cutting the hole.
