From personal experience,

It's way too loud. The car did seem to be a bit quicker, but god it was LOUD.

some say it's loud, some say it's not loud at all. I think it all depends on the mods you have.. if you just have a intake and exhaust it shouldn't be too loud at all, mine wasn't, but once you get those header and hi flo cat in.. that baby will scream

All I had was an intake and the catback. Honestly, it was ridiculously loud.

I think the exhaust is pretty exceptable. It all comes down to you, it's your choice, search around, there should probably be some soundclips floating around these forums.

Yeah, it all basically comes down to you. Few will have it loud and few will have it quiet. Can't really say what will happen until you have it on your own car.

The N1 is very deep at low rpm's (with my mods it sounds like a subaru boxer without the pulsating idle). At high rpm's it is highpitched and it screams ( very very loud.especially with a high flow cat). If you have the windows down and floor it from 80 you cant even hear yourself think

I have intake/exhaust/chip and it is very loud. I will not buy an exhaust as loud as the n1 i have on there now.

I think you should buy the Greddy Evo. I have it, and I love it.

go with apex n1, i have it and after i put in my 404s it sounded deeper. it comes with a silencer and when you put it in its pretty deep. IMO its a very very good exhaust.

its pretty loud without the silencer and the can hangs low, not good for speed bumps. its a cool exhaust in my opinion, I have one myself. A little played out though.

A few of my friends have it, and it is obnoxiously loud. I think it sounds like a ricer exhaust. Like bees in a can.

I have one. Highway driving is nearly intolerable. I'm waiting for a good opportunity to sell it and get a Fujitsubo.

I have intake/header/2.5" piping/N1 muffler. I got a ticket because it was so loud. Granted, the cop was being a dick and wrote me a ticket for a law that doesnt exist (defective muffler due to excessive noise, issued at 12noon). My parents have complained. My neighbors have complained. I set off car alarms on accident. And long drives are annoying. I only know one person with an exhaust louder than mine. He has an RX7 ported out the ***. Same muffler. I wouldnt do the route again. Its still fun though.

I know the feeling. My next door neighbor has a riced out Neon with the alarm set as sensitive as possible, I just idle and it starts beeping, I touch the gas and it goes off.

There's an escort I have to drive by to get out of the apt complex that has the same thing. If I dont drive past idling it'll beep. If I give it gas going by, it goes off. The owner actually came out and started talkin **** one time. I just ignored him and went inside.

The way I see it: They're the one's that were crazy enough to install an alarm so sensitive that most germs could set off, so they're the ones who should get bitched at. I move for a revolution against ultra-sensitive car alarms.

Why is it that the shittiest cars are the ones that have the most sensitive alarms. I mean, common, who's gonna steal a neon or an escort? I knew a guy who had an el camino that beeped if you got too close to it. WTF.

i have it on now. before i put on my 2.5 header and 2.5 cat, it sounded sweet! not too loud but toned. after the header, it got really loud, especially VTEC. im in the process of trying to a stock axle back to put on for daily drive. if i could do it over, id go with hytech or mugen

You guys are *****! j/k

But seriously, the exhaust is VERY tolerable on the freeway. You control the sound with throttle position and at some point, you can't even hear it and the car sounds stock. Of course, if you drive like a jack *** on the freeway, it might grab a little attention.

Paired with a 2.5 inch collector header, the exhaust really sounds mean.

Oh, it sounds nice. Not buzzy, not metalic. Its deep and it sounds mean. Its just loud. Especialy combined with other exhaust mods. I never had the chance to hear just the muffler. I went from stock to complete exhaust (stock cat though )
