hey guys i just recently bought my gsr. I have heard that i can get alot better times with the Y1 transmission. which comes in the 99-00 Si and the type r integra(correct me if i am wrong).. i was lookin at hmomotors when i seen a Itr Final drive set. question is should i buy the Y1 transmission or the itr final drive set.. or will they both give me about the same performace.. i am a newbie so bare with

The type r transmission and the si have the same ratios but the type r has a LSD.

If you add a itr final drive to your gsr, it will indeed make it faster but still not as tight gearing as the itr/si tranny.
