That's not just within spec, that's exactly the spec. You should feel good about having a car that idles properly, the spec calls for 750 +/- 50 rpm so you're spot on.

everytime i go to shut my car off i look at the VAFC, and wait until its in the 750rpm ballbark to shut her down!!

What he said... my '94 GS-R idles at 750rpm all day (unless it's hot and I have the A/C on... then it fluctuates sometimes)

I dont see that anywhere in the post, and besides, every car does that anyway... when the clutches on the AC compressor kick in, it bogs the car down a little bit... been so long since I ran the AC that I cant remember if it picks it up and idles higher with the AC on or stays lower...
i got a 95 gsr (obd1) so i can relate. At cold start your car is in open loop (when the ecu takes control of your car) at this point your car will idle about 1500 rpm or more. When your car reaches normal operation temperture is goes to a close loop, this is when your car began to idle 750 rpm 50+-. On your throttle body their is a idle screw I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DON'T TOUCH IT, it is adjusted by the factory. If you read the oem service manual it is not to be tampered! Your car sounds like its where it should be idle at.
