Default Comptech Sway/Tie Bar combo - buying just the tie bar

Has anyone bought just the tie bar from Comptech? How much did it cost you?

I did; I just asked for it, and managed to convince them to sell it to me separately. It was $175, but this was probably nearly two years ago.

I got mine for $219 a year or so back.

Reason: You can save some cash by mating to a ITR sway bar and the comptech bar is not just a tie-bar... is a solid mounting platform for a larger rear sway. More info here;

Hey 94integrals is that an RS-R exhaust on your ls? If so how do you like it, thinking about switching over from n1 to that but want to get a reaction.

But, back to the subject. Yes, don't blow your cash on just the tie bar, because you can get a benen or carbing for less and get the same result. If you are out for the comptech tie bar you might as well save to get the sway and tie combo.

Unfortunately Comptech doesn't make the stand alone tie bar that I have anymore. Carbing stuff is great. I love their 3-point front bar... it really solidified the chassis.

silvrintegra: yeah that is an old school RS*R, and I think it was one of my best mods (second to my ZEAL B6s ). Made a significant amount of power (after i/h) and is still very quiet when cruising around at low RPMs. I highly recommend this exhaust.

I believe he's talking about just buying the tie bar from the sway/tie bar combo. Not the tie bar originally intended for the ITR like you have. Take a look at this link and it'll all make sense.

I bought mine for $150 three years ago......by far one of the best suspension components i have on my GS-R. Just go to or call one of your local Acura dealerships. I'm sure they'll sell it to you........or call Comptech direct.
