my car is red right now but its pretty faded im looking to repaint it real soon...im torn b/w colors right now...repainting it red...or a color change to white, black, and the y-49....if you guys could gimme some advice..or post some pictures of your crx's of these colors with rims that would be great...im deff going to have 15 inch black rota slipstreams & a cf hood too...what you guys think?
I'd say paint it black. Thats what I want to do if I end up keeping this car. Mine's white right now, heres a few pics of it with some different rims to give u some ideas.....

keep it red unless you going to change the color everywhere. nothing like looking into an engine bay and seeing your nice new paint on outside and some old faded different color under the hood.
do it right the first time.

This man has good advice.
If you do plan on changing, go with white. To get a black paint, the body has to be ABSOLUTELY perfect, otherwise it looks like crap. Black is the hardest color to prep for, and white, is one of the easiest.
On top of that white Civics look better than anything IMHO. I love white. I can't wait to get my sedan painted.

hmmm i see....well im deff going to take all of this into consideration..its so hard to make a choice because its so final..and i honestly think all the colors look good on the crx's
I hope to one day do something like a dark gray. I think you should do a color that the CRX never came in, gives it some originality without the need of kits and all that crap. Also whether or not you paint the trim, and which trim, will probly make a big difference.
ya i also thought about that i saw a nice repainted red crx and he left the mirrors, side moldings and under trim all black..white a nice brand new pair of rota slipstreams...and it looked really nice..samething with white..and i saw the samething with everything painted w/black & bronze rims...so hard to choose

the car looks good in silver too i almost just put the clear over the siver instead of the kandy.
but kandy paint is really bad *** but a lot of work.
that was 20 coats total before i was done
whatever you do, don't paint the trim body color! it looks like absolute crap....especially when the rocker panels get painted. It looks messed up and crappy. Makes the paint job look cheap and rushed.
Instead, get all the trim repainted in a nice black so it doesn't look weird and faded after the new paint.

some of the new Honda colors are cool, like the Magnesium silver on the new Civics or the lt green on the Element. Stick with Honda colors but one that did not come on a CRX if you want something different
deff im thinking about gettin all new moldings nice new fresh black...i dont think ill repaint the moldings bc everything i saw looked good....im not looking to have a huge change...i want it to look as stock as possible

ya i got a store near me called strictly honda & acura...you can get any OEM things..i just replaced my side moldings on the fenders
if your changing the color paint everything, like the door jams, so it doesnt look half assed when you poen your door and its red but the outside is blue for example. if your arent going to paint stuf like that go with a shade of red so it will some what match
