Hi guys and gals,
I just bought a used set of GSR valve springs and retainers for cheap. And now I need some help telling them apart. The seller said that I would be able to tell them apart because one set would have yellow paint on them and the other would have blue paint. I guess since they were used the paint is worn off, cause I dont see any paint on them.
Which leads me to my question:
Are the intake and exhaust springs the same spring rate? or are they different? And also for a really noobish question. Am I supposed to have just one set (8) of inner valvesprings for the intake side? or am I supposed to have two sets, one for intake and one for exhaust (16 total)? I looked at some diagrams and it looks like only the intake side had the inner valve springs, so I just wanted to confirm this with you guys.
Thanks

On B18C1 engines, only the intake side has dual valve springs. I don't know if the outer valve springs are the same for intake and exhaust or not.
As far as I know only the Type R engines got dual valve springs on both intake and exhaust.

Cool, I just wanted to check about the GSR valve springs because the diagrams and parts list I saw was a little vague. The only other thing I am unsure of is the valve spring rates for the intake and exhaust valve springs.
Does anyone else know if the GSR outer valve springs for intake and exhaust have the same spring rate?
