putting a vtech head on a d15 hatch
i have a question about putting a vtech head on a d15 sohc motor in my hatch. i just want to make it a all motor car so what do i have to get and set up to do it. also i was told that vtech could be wired up to a tach.. can neone help thanks
i'll be the first to say it........its vtec, not vtech.....honda people are sensative about that.. first thing you have to do it search all around this website (try d-series.org also) and read as much as you can about the mini-me setup (sohc non vtec bottom ends with sohc vtec heads are called "mini-me" engines by most). next, you need to locate everything you need for the swap, then you need to put it all together. it basically bolts together, but you need to remove the oil port thingy from the top of the sohc block (read a bunch and you'll know what i'm talking about). its a fairly easy swap, just figure out exactly what you need to do on your own......its the best advice i can give you....you need to learn it for yourself, that will involve a BUNCH of hours reading about it. good luck.......and bear with the future posters on the thread that will flame you and tell you vtech makes phones.
