I proboably wouldnt do that. I understand gutting cars, all i have in my interior is two seats and my dash but imagine getting t-boned in an intersection with thin sheet metal and a door jam to save you.

So you are risking your life and the passengers just to go 5 tenths faster

Save some money and buy some performance parts. If anything try and increase safety.

Don't forget to remove the front and rear bumper reinforcements.

It will just make death that much quicker.

for a race car go ahead and cut out all of the inside sheet metal on the door (put in Nascar style roll cage)

If this is for a fully caged race car, I still can't see it. However, if this is just something you thought of while watching the fast and the furious. Well, you'll get flamed bad enough...
