I have been hit a few times (mostly when I was in parking spaces). Anyway, I have a few nice big scratches on my bumpers. I also have a few on the door from the last owner (looked like the guy didn't know how to use his keys). Anyway, what would be the best way to get those out? I don't want to get a whole paint job on the bumper, but I don't want it to look like total hell either. Is there any solution to that? I have heard using touch up paint makes it look like ****. My car is black, so i wouldn't think it would be too hard to match the right color. What do you guys suggest?
Thanks,
Patrick

Try an abrasive polish. Like muffler polish. Take a cloth rub it into the scratches. Very lightley. It will take off the clear coat but git rid of the scratch. Wipe it off. And then hit the same spot with some waxs to get the shine back. It only works for minor scatches. Nothing deep.
Used this method many times on my and friends cars. Works well. But dont expect miracles.
