i am taking apart my h23 head right now, i got the cams out and am wondering how do i get the springs out? how can i tell if they are aftermarket?

 

you need to take your head off the car to take the springs out...then you need to get a Valve Spring Compressor and a magnet...if your not that capable at doing things on motors (not saying your not) then i would get someone to show you how to do it. It is very hard to take the springs out. And i dont think that you can tell if they are aftermarket.
