Default Question about b18a swap into 5th gen Civic (Yes i searched)

Will a b18a bolt into a 5th gen civic, just like a b18b? Or does it require a mount kit?
Thanks in advance.

all b series bolt into a 5th gen. you should have no problems with this swap. only thing is, you prolly want one thats obd I instead of that pre-obd stuff (i think there were some pre obd b18a's, right?)... you might as well just get a b18b. the wiring from b18b to 5th gen should be exactly the same.
just make sure you get integra mounts w/ your engine. http://hybrid.honda-perf.org

That and another problem is the B18a engines are all cable trannys. You will need a hasport hydro to cable tranny kit to make this work. Or you could go find your self a B-series hydro tranny out of any other honda/acura. IF i were you... i would just look for 94+ b18b1 save yourself some complications later. A ls swap into a 5th gen IMO, is the easiest of all swaps for that year.
