Possible to swap in a K20A engine in my 99 GSR?
a lot
exhaust/intake ports are on the opposite side compared to a B18. header on back, IM on front, instead of header on front IM on back like with you current engine. that means you would also need the header, intake manifold and intake system, all the electronics and ignition parts. You can't just buy a long block you need absolutely everything and you have to get someone to mount the whole thing in there.
engine runs in the opposite direction so you'd also need the transmission.
if you have many thousands of dollars lying around to spend on relatively minimal gains then go ahead and try it
Summary: a few people have done it just to do it. for the same amount of money you could make 2x as much power FI easily.
