Never really heard of anybody using an sc54, but i would like to hear how you like it, ditch the fmu and get hondata. Get that thing tuned and give us another write up.

I have never seen a full-race mani cracked up and down at the bolts like that, i am not sure that is a good thing man, it might be junk

P.S this maybe better suited to the FI forum

I can't believe yer running all that Full-Race stuff and a Precision turbo (high $$ ****) with a hundred dollar FMU . Get a Hondata and some DSM 450s.

What cracks? All I see is weld lines

edit: Are you talking about the slits where the bolts go? they look a little too nice to be cracks, im sure they are there for a reason. And that reason is........

Many manifolds have those spaces between the ports to allow the manifold to expand and contract without cracking.

they are expansion slots. when the manifold gets hot it allows the matterial to expand and not warp the flange.

i agree...get hondata and some dsm 450's dont risk it with the FMU....although i ran and FMU for a while..only under low boost.

if you are going to run the FMU get an INLINE pump not an INTANK

Edit- get a new fuel filter as well with that FMU

they're usually just indentations, not fully cut out spaces. just seems wierd to me

FMU w/ Missing Link
Hondata

If you value the time and money you are spending on this setup, you will ditch the FMU and missing link in favor of "real" engine management like Hondata or AEM.

trust me, there's no way I'm boosting with an fpr. I'll ghetto rig it using the fpr for now so I can get it in, but I'm getting hondata as soon as I can afford it.
I got all this stuff from a used from a person btw, and wasn't about to say "don't ship me this and that" when I was already getting this stuff for a steal ($2500). The turbo is in awesome condition! like it was right off the assembly line. Forget about shaft play! this thing doesn't budge a fraction of a mm!

I can get an MF2 for free... don't really know if I shold use that... might just get an safc2 in a week, use it for a few months and get hondata. Not 100% sure on what to do, cash is a problem.

well... yes and no.
I'm going to "run" it... but I'm not going to take my car above 3k rpms with it. In other words, I'm not really going to boost with it, just use it to drive my car until I can afford fuel management. I'll probably buy an safc2 to use for a while and then sell it when I can afford hondata.

Why dont you just wait until you have hondata before you do the install? Better to be safe than sorry. Save your money and dont get the safc2, that thing alone cost 2-3 bills correct? hondata will run you less than 5 bills (w/o tuning)..You'll actually save money with hondaata in the end

honestly there really isnt anything wrong running an FMU set up. YEs its not the best but it still works. I ran one for about a year with no problem at all. Like i said make sure you run an inline pump. an intank will not give you the fuel pressure you need. Its seems like this is your only car but it also seems like you dont have the kit on your car yet. its hard to just see all those parts sitting there begging to be put on. If you choose to run the FMU do it the right way...or your other option is to wait and just save for a better fuel management then put everything on the same time.....Good luck!

Yepp... i would say that you should eventually go w hondata or save the xtra $$ and get aem, depending on your whp goals. Also, are you upgrading your injectors at all??? I would think that with stock injectors you are going to be running a little lean.
