Stripped ITR interior shot
What I am looking for is a picture of the ITR with no interior (nothing, not even seats) The reason is, I have a Sol, and the sol's chassis is about as stiff as a wet noodle. What I am trying to do is somehow stiffen the cabin. The trunk is stiff, but because of the targa, there is no real supports. Since the ITR is extremly stiff (you can lift an entire side using the front lift point) I would imagine that honda put some kind of supports alont the floor. So I need to compare the stripped cabin to a normal integra.
damn, I knew I was forgetting something.
since they never made a Del Sol Type R except for the autozone version, theres nothing really to compare a del Sol with. If I can get an idea of the how honda made the ITR stiffer, maybe I could replicate in in a Sol

You wont be able to replicate it without a roof or a rollcage (and even then i think you'd come up short of a caged ITR).
FWIW, There's a link on autopedia.com about the ITR's chassis improvements.

You're trying to make a purse out of sow's ear?
The Del Sol will suck for rigidity compared to ANY car with a roof.
The only way you are going to improve the stiffness of the chassis is something that links multiple parts of the floor pan together - for instance a roll cage or a permanent roof.
An X-brace for the floor pan (a la S2000) may give you some improvement at making the chassis more rigid - that is if you can find one for that car.

Yes, I know this, however, 5k del sol >>> 15k ITR price wise. I simply cant afford the ITR, plus insurance would kill me.
RJ, I looked on autopedia.com and I couldn't really find any info on the upgrades. could you give me a direct link?

Search, I've seen it discussed multiple times here. And there are no indications from looking at a bare interior of what those chassis improvements are. A stripped ITR will look just like any other stripped Integra, just without sound deadening.
