Default New Transmission

right now im driving an A/T 1998 Integra RS, and i want to change to M/T, i had a couple questions, how much would it generally cost for a Manual Tranny (i need everything necessary) and where would i generally get it swapped, i called my local shop and they said they dont do it...

Thanks,
Matt

sell your car and buy a new one; thats the easyest way to do it.

Ive been in your exact position. Its not worth it, trust me. You would have to get a different ecu, tranny, put a ugly hole in the firewall next to your break, and it will never run as good as a stock manual. If u do it though definately get a new si tranny . Should cost around 2 - 3k dollars.

LS tranny = $500

Conversion Parts = $500+

and do it yourself.

If you cant do it ... there is a shop in GA that does them .. i guess thats pretty far from NJ

If you don't know how to change it yourself it will probably cost a lot of money. Like others said it is easier to just buy a new car. A manual trans is a hell of a lot better. I drove an auto teg once and it felt really slow. Especially on cars with little engines, like integras, the manual trans makes the car a lot more fun to drive.

sell your car for at least 6k and you can buy a 95 GS-R. great year, OBDI, responsive on mods. so your basically getting a faster car for free.
