Car wont start, Please help???

Default Car wont start, Please help???

Recently, I was adjusting the distributor, forgot to tighten up, while driving the distributor came loose and the car died instantly, Now I tighten everything up and the car wont start, it sounded like it tries to start but wont turn over??? what damage could it have done or what should I consider looking at???I cant be the baterry, battery is new, new alternator, new spark plug and wire, swicthed the ditributor coil still wont start. another thing my knock sensor is loose too, could that stop the car from starting because I heard a friend said no, vtec just wont work

It is possible that the pin that retains the distributor drive to the distributor shaft has been sheared, remove the distributor and check that.

I've done replacing the distributor and still wont start???

Timing could be off... I recently did a b16 swap on a civic (i know this is the teg forum) and everything was fine but wouldn't turn over. Later on long and behold, timing was off by 3 teeth.

Took it to a mechanic cause I was to lazy and didn't know what the hell was wrong.

could the time when the distributor went off cause the timing to go off???

forgot to mention one thing, when the distributor came loose, I tigthen up and it wont start, luckily I had a spear distributor, slapped that on and the car starts right up but drives like it got no powers or a lot of power lose.

Check the cam timing it may have jumped a few teeth especialy if it backfired when the dist cam loose.

wow, what do you know, the car started right up. but the car is bobbing, a friend said it could be the map sensor, anyone know how I can test the map sensor??? My idle is high sits a 1.5-2.00 rpm, could my throttle body have anything to do with that, I have a holley 68mm.
