Hey all, Just bought a fmax turbo kit. wondering if there is anything else that i have to replace before runnig 9 psi. Also i hear that hondas tend to overheat whenthe turbo is running is this true and what can i do to fix it. Thanks

what kind of engine management are you using?

 

ur gonna need better fuel management than a couple of strapped on injetors from the fmax.

 

i would just go hondata, it may seem extreme for only 9psi but its the safest way to run besides a ems.

 

Go hondata or aem. nothing else is worthy.

 

how much are they?

 

Not as much as a new motor.
aem 1000. hondata around 700.

hondata w/ boost $400-550.

The turbo kit os going on a 96 lude. vtec h22. The car has a port and polish, and header intake exhaust. Dual frictin clutch, cams, cam gears and a apex'i vtec controller etc etc.

 

good luck with that man, let me know how it turns out...im currently in the process of turboing my h22, need just a few more parts.

 

just remember, save some extra money, because ull need it when that unexpected becomes expected!
