Default tranny

I just purchased a automatic transmission. For my 95 automatic accord 2.2 4 cyl EX so they sent me a 97 honda accord transmission with the same specs. My mechanic ordered it will I have any problems with that will it be the same. I hope they sent me the tranny for a VTEC accord if that makes a difference.

If they got a tranny from a 97 with the same "specs" as your 95, then it's an EX. If it's EX then it's a VTEC motor=> VTEC tranny. Your question itself provided the answer.

But anyway, everything from the 97 tranny should bolt up and plug it just like the 95 tranny, whether DX, LX, or EX. I'm not even sure the gearing is any different in the EX w/VTEC.
