How do you like KYB's AGX shocks?
What are your opinions on KYB's AGX shocks? Other recommended shocks (comparable price/quality)? I have Tein's S-Tech springs coming in and I'm not considering a coil-over kit. Thanks in advance.
I heard some good things about KYB's AGX especially coupled with Tein's S-Tech. The versatility with its dampening control, and the quality you get for the price.

I've heard KYB is one of the better for the money,I'm actually looking to get KYB's and I wrote KYB and asked what I should use for Ractive coilovers. Here's what I got back. Can someone tell me what he's trying to say here? If there is no warranty with KYB because of coilovers, then is it going to be the same for all makers?
"KYB products have a Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product with a dated proof of purchase. The warranty does not apply to product that is misapplied, abused, or used in racing or commercial applications. The warranty is void if the product is used on excessively lowered (over 1.5")(Sport drops) vehicles or if an Aftermarket coilover shock system is used. Please contact your place of purchase, or a local KYB retailer, for warranty qualification and/or exchange.
If warranty is not a concern
The AGX shocks are stock size, need to set them on the higher setting"

Done about 2k on them, and love them. Can't wait to get the snows off to see what they can really do. Best bang for buck in my opinion.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I love mine; clean drop and functional at the same time.
Im running the same set-up in my EK coupe
, i love them i have mine set to 2f,4r or 4f,6r depending on my mood and for long highway trips i set them to 1f,1r.

KYB AGX dampers would be an excellent match for Tein S-Tech springs. The S-Techs are a mild spring, with pretty soft spring rates and a mild drop. KYB AGX are a great choice for those springs.
i love my agx's
i've had them for over 2 years now and i haven't seen one problem yet.

Got the same setup you're talking about.. I love AGX's, I need stiffer springs than the Teins though. Overall very good for a street kaaaaa.

KYB AGX off-the-shelf damping is okay for spring rates up to about 350 lb-in or so. If you want to go with stiffer spring rates than that, look into some Koni Sports.

GR2s are not the same as AGX.
GR2 are more of a heavy-duty OEM-shock replacement. AGX are an adjustable, sport-oriented shock with damping suited to higher aftermarket spring rates.

I have agx's with neuspeed race springs which is way over a 1.5 in drop and they are great. I did notice that they took about a month for the valving to really break in and work smoothly. Great shocks and you cant beat the price.
