Default Confused about MPFI

Ok I have been researching the MPFI swap info, but I am still a little confused about a few things. Ok first off I hope I have the correct things for it: Intake manifold, resistor box (still need), PM6 ecu (still need) and Si distributor (some sites say yes and some say no???)

Pics of what I have so far:
Intake manifold

I have the wiring that came with the intake manifold

The guy was going to take the tps off and use it on his new engine, thats why that part was cut.

Injector plugs

What I am trying to figure out is, what do I do with this part of the wiring harness. Splice it into the one I have?? I am trying to get and old harness and fabricate a mpfi harness. Can this be done?? I kinda understand the depinning part but this other stuff has me a little confused.

People around here look at me like I am silly around here when I ask about mpfi swap. "They always say just put a new engine in!!" But even if could afford to do that, won't this function still need to be done??? I am trying to get this out the way so that when I am financially able to swap another d-series/ZC in, it will de done.

Please help me

alright
you still need
- resistor box
- PM6 ecu
- Si dizzy.

what you have to do with the si wiring harness, is splice it into your existing dpfi harness.
if you search this forum, you'll find a lot of useful sites on how to do this.
heres mine
http://www.angelfire.com/d20/h....html

heres another good one - fourthgenhatch's
http://www.fourthgenhatch.com/index2.html. click on technical on the top right, then on how to and you'll see mpfi wiring down the page a bit.

all you need off that harness is the injector plugs, the resistor plug and the distributor plug.

Run all the red wires from the injectors into one wire, run that wire to the resistor box. Next run each corresponding injector wire to the plugs( 2 will already be in the engine bay, 2 will need to be ran from the ecu with new wire.) Next extend your TPS and switch the wires to work with the mpfi, since there setup for dpfi. Next leave some room and cut the dist. plug off of your old dpfi engine harness, and connect the mpfi dist. plug onto those, your going to need to run 2 more wires for the dist. plug down to the ecu, becuz dpfi doesnt use these wires. There is also one more wire that needs to be extended but i cant think of the name off the top of my head, possibly the IACV but dont qoute me on that.

pat.

cool, anymore info. I am starting to feel a little more comfortable now. Thanks

Ok here's what I guess my question is, On my picture #5, I know that the red and yellow wire goes to the tps. My question is where/what are the others wires for?? Where I get lost is the part stating that how to hook up the injector wires (not at the ecu part, but the engine compartment part).

each injector clip has 2 wires, one is red with a black stripe i think, and then the others are each a different color( i dont kno the exact colors) you have to combine all the red wires into one wire, and run that to the resistor, and then u have to wire each colored wire to the correct pinout/wire on the ecu.
