Well I called my local honda dealership and they said it was $224.33 for a new distributor.

All i need is a new ignitor, but they DONT sell it seperate? I was told on the forms that they do....

Does Napa, advanced auto sell them?

also behind the distributor is leaking some fair amount of oil.... what seal do i need to ask for?
and how hard is it to replace?
do i have to take off the head?

 

did you call some local parts stores and see? if not try some online sites and see if they sell them separately.... http://www.manhonda.com is one that has many parts

 

your dealer is lying oto you then.
go in and ask for part # 30130-P54-006
that is the ignitor unit which you can buy separate.
06301-PT3-A20 is the distributor,it does not come with an ignitor typically.

NAPA carries them. And take your ignitor and have them test it for free - just in case.
