ok guys i realyy need some help here. please post helpful hints!
ok guys i asked this in the accord fourm but since those guys average 1 post a day its still on the first page. im changing the rotors on my friends 97 accord. i havent done these before, and i heard there a little different than tegs. so if anyone with experience with these could give me some advice i would greatly appreciate it! come H-T mechanics i know our ALL out there!
The front brake rotors are pressed on, the replace them you will need to remove the hub. To do this undo the lower ball joint, remove the drive shaft from the hub, remove the brake caliper,at this point you will see 4 10mm 12point bolts on the inside of hub knucle assy, remove these bolts and find 4 longer bolts with the same thread pitch and install in the holes you took the 12point bolts out of, start to hitting the bolt heads with a hammer rotating form one bolt to the next, you will see that the hub will slowly start to move out, when it is all of the way out you can install the new rotor and reinstall.
