Ok guys, I am about to install my Skunk2 Mani on my GSR, then I am hopefully getting a SMSP cat back. My Throttle body will be bored to 64mm, I will have either an icebox or a AEM CAI, and an AEM fuel rail. My question is, I am wanting to get some good tuning to take advantage of the mods I have done. I am trying to decide between a VAFC2, Chipped P28 (i think thats the obdI conversion everyone goes with) or Hondata. I plan on adding underdrive pulleys, a hi flow cat, and a header shortly after (over summer) then cams and a new valve train by winter, then High Comp pistons and strong rods by the next spring (very long term)

Just wanting to know the most effective route. I don't know of a Hondata tunner here in NC, around raligh or Fayetteville, I maybe can find one.

according to your upgrade path i would get it dyno tuned after your cams and valvesprings are put in (or at the very least get a readout of your a/f ratio). then get it dyno tuned again after your pistons are installed.

i would get the catback, header, cat all at the same time.

fuel rail prob isnt necessary, might want to get a fpr instead.

if you get a vafc, you should pair it up with a chipped ecu since you will be upgrading your valvetrain... you can change the revlimit which vafc lacks. and hondata... well you pretty much cant go wrong with it.

 

So with Just the Skunk2 mani and the cat back, I should hold out until I ge tthe header and cat and cams to get a tuning device?
