Default Fairly odd swap question.

Ok, so I sold my 93 Civic Hatch a while ago. Kickin' myself to this day for never dropping a B18B in it.

Now I'm in 92 Accord Sedan. (still 5th Gen Civic at heart)

With the capabilities of dropping F/H series in the Civic/Del Sol/Integra now, how bout dropping a B series in the Accord?

I've become very fond of a SOHC motor, VTEC or not, over the past 7 years. So I've kept everything I've owned SOHC. I've done nothing but worked on D/B series engines and don't feel like or even care to learning the F/H series motors.

I can see the stupidity of the swap going from 2.2L to a 1.8L, but there's something about the B18B to me that just won't let go inside me.

Any positive thoughts on this?

i dont know about you guys but this kinda reminds me of the supra with a mr2 engine swap. it would be intresting to see this being done. especially since it will have a lighter motor plus you can always add abit of air induction to compensate for the hp/tq.

The accord is a big car - your prolly better off using a H22a and enjoy the torque that gives you. Its also bolt in and the motors are cheap.

I wouldn't do it. The Accord is a much heavier car. The B series doesn't have the torque to pull that kind of weight. I'm not even sure if they make a mount kit to put the motor into that car, I could be wrong though. The only Accords I heard of putting a B series motor into os the old Accords that were smaller and lighter. You might want to take this to the Accord forum like stated above, they could give you some more insight. Just my $.02
