Prelude help - NEW 2 DA LUDE
Hey, I use to drive a 2ooo Si (stolen/tottall) thinking of picking up a 92 lude 5pd si. I was wondering how difficult and what u need to swap in a 92-95 jdm h22 (off of hmotorsonline.com 1.8gs i think?) into the 92 lude. Is it straight up? or do I need to get any parts (wiring ecus, etc)? I searched, to no avail, please help a brother out. Thanks
different gear ratios and tends to slip out of VTEC from what i've been reading....

Nice if you live in US... Here in Poland (Europe) there is not many hondas, no good used parts, it is a pity... And if you find something it costs a fortune...
I paid about $2000 for a H22A2 used engine.
Then I had to pay 450 Euro = $500 for a P13 ecu. And it took me 10 month to find it..................
When I look ebay with all these goods I can only cry.

shift into 4th at the end

I'm running a h23a1(m2s4) tranny on my JDM h22a and I have to shift into 4th before I finish the 1/4.

oh yeah, I was going to suggest the essential prelude link but it doesn't list swap info...unless I overlooked. anyways, it's a straight swap. reuse your h23a1 mounts, axles, wiring harness. this will make it a lot easier. all you have to do is add VTEC:
VTEC Solenoid Yellow/Green A4
VTEC Oil Pressure Sensor Blue (passenger side harness) D6
VTEC Ground Black chassis ground
unless if you have a I believe a 94-95 prelude. They're already pre-wired. 96 would be OB2-II so you would have to use a conversion harness.
