What do you guys prefer? (5zigen or magnaflow)
Well i'm planning to get custom piping done to my EF soon, and i have a 5zigen axleback (plan on cutting the pipe since it is for an integ and just use the muffler) but i was aiming for the 'sleeper' look because i'm not really a big fan of having that big muffler showing. So i was thinking of selling it and getting a magnaflow but i was wondering how it would look because the muffler shop i'm going to does crush piping and so if i acquired a magnaflow muffler how would it look with crush bending? would it look like stock? or should i just use the 5zigen muffler?

depending on options you will spend anywhere between 250 to 500 for either 2.25 aluminized mandrel or 2.5 SS mandrel. the quality is incredible. it is a slip-on system bend to OEM spec. only small amount of welding is needed.
i am tempted to get another system from mike in smaller diameter JUST to put it together.

May be my memory is foggy, but the 5Zigen fireball isnt that huge of a canister exhaust. Also, I just picked up a Dynomax Super Turbo cat back from Summit, for only like $250. The muffler is life time warranty, and im sure some good treatment to the regular pipes before I put it on will make it last a tad bit longer. It also included a resonator in the B pipe.
Edit: It is 2.25", and I think it looks pretty stock. Set up exactly like a stock Si, exhaust with two tips, just a little bit larger and more oval then normal.

as for the crush bending, i've looked at some information on these forums between crush and mendrel bending, and you can only tell the difference if you are running a strong motor such as B-series right? i'm just planning to do a mini me and i heard the crush and mendral difference would be little.
Mandrel will flow better, its equal id the whole pipe. Crush bent, when you get to the part where it is bent, its smaller and causes more restriction. In day to day driving, it probably does not matter, but if you are trying to squeeze every bit out of your car, it is wiser to go with madrel bent tubing.
