Has anyone ever modified a thermostat? I know its a cheapskate thing to do but since these lower temp ones are a bit questionable i was considering either cutting off half a coil or drilling a hole or 2 in the flange?(obviously, operation could be tested after modification). going turbo soon so temps are an issue. Any argument about accelerated wear can be negated as its goin on a fully re-con'ed engine.
Is it worth it?(bear in mind any spoon/mugen stuff will cost more this side of the pond anyway).
Also, what temp water would you run if you had a choice?
