are there any free mods to do to a 5g prelude?

i heard something about removing the air box silencer or something.. ? how would tht help, and how would i go about it?

That would be removing your intake resonator. To remove it you will need to peel back the splashguard on the wheelwell of your front right wheel...this will involve unscrewing some things screws or maybe some plastic fastener things. I'm not sure how it is on a 5th gen...then once you can peel back the splashguard you will see the intake resonator, a big plastic box contraption...just unscrew anything holding that in and yank it out. That should be it.

I don't know how much of a gain it will give you. That resonator has a butterfly valve that supossedly helps lowend...so it might hurt your lowend a little if you remove the resonator. But it could probably give you a couple hp mid-high range. It will also make your engine louder at WOT, similar to an aftermarket intake. If you are going to get a CAI sometime in the future you will need to have this taken out anyway.
