Rs*r makes a good exhaust. I think that the big draw to it is the fact that's it's quiet. rs*r uses a chambered muffler to reduce noise, while most after market exhausts used a straight though design. Rs*r won't make the most power, it depends if you are willing to give up a couple hp for the reduced noise. IMO it's fairly priced too.

That would depend on which RS*R model you get. They do have the Ex-Mag, which is one of the quietest on the market today. However, they also have their GT II system, which is probably the lightest and biggest h.p. gaining exhaust on the market.(Most apps for this exahust are slip-fit with springs to tension the joints, instead of bolt together flanges...saves weight.) I had one of the old-school Ex-Mag's(full stainless, not painted) about 2 years ago and I loved it!!! Good growl at WOT, but quiet and idle and under normal driving...no annoying buzzing, but gains are as noticeable as a straight-through design.

I agree, the Ex Mag is a very quiet exhaust, I have had mine for about 2 months now and I love it. Slight power gains, (it is just an exhaust) and nice deep tone at certain rpms. I must emphasize that it is very quiet. When I first put it on it sounded like my stocker, then it broke in a bit and got a little louder, ends up being a nice deep hum. And all needed hardware comes with it including the crush gaskets.
ex mag for staying under the radar in CA but if you loud, more hp and straight through the gt2 is it. my friend has a gt2 on his wrx. he told the guys to take off the silencer when he had it installed, lets just say he called me up 5 minutes later to reinstall the silencer. LOUD! i could hear him atleast 3 blocks away
. he backed into my garage and the air the exhaust was pushing out was strong could feel it a good 2.5 feet away.
