Default Si or HF?

What would be the advantages/possibilities to each of these versions of the stunning CRX? Im looking to put some money into this car and make it into a "Sleeper." So please enlighten me with your wisdom! Thanks!

Si has a sunroof. they have a tendancy to be a pain..

but they HF you will need to swap hubs for a bseries.

depends on the year you want. 90-91 had rear disc(si), my 88Si has drums.
Si= sunroof (extra 25lbs) and are a pain. Mine is dragging and scratching the crap out of my paint.
the rear taillights changed a lil from 88-89 90-91
The seat belt changed also.

I suggest the HF, find a 88' supa light. I'm shure you'll find 1,000 things on CRX's if you do a search

Go for the HF. The ONLY thing the SI has that cannot be swapped over the HF is the sunroof. And unless you consider having a sunroof to be VERY important to your enjoyment of the car, avoid it. The bottom line: it is MUCH easier to deal with any of the shortcomings of the HF than it is to deal with the weight problem of the SI. Unless you autocross or participate in any other form of racing in which you are stuck with a stock engine, SIs are all hype and no substance.

There are alot of us (like myself) who have no use for a sunroof, even on a daily driver. I guess what I meant was that unless you personally consider a sunroof to be desirable, pass on the SI. But I guess that maybe you DO consider a sunroof to be desirable.

There's more differences between the Si and HF than just a sunroof

Do you happen to have a rear wiper, passenger side mirror, Dual Point Fuel Injection, and door mounted seatbelts? If so, then you have a DX.

hf and a sunroof..? i bought a 88 hf crx with a single cam zc motor ..im asuming that its obd0 because i run a chiped pr4 (used to have pm6) and on the intake manifold it says (pgmfi) is that the same as mpfi? back to the topic..id buy an hf again. I also have a 89 si and if lifted both clear off of the ground and the si was deffinetly heavier .. if i were to buy another crx it would be an hf...

long story short = HF

I know that. But everything else can be swapped over. The electric sunroof is the only thing that the SI has that cannot easily be swapped over. And my point is that if you don't consider a sunroof to be important, it is better not to have it.
