Default GSR gauge cluster?

Is there such a thing as a Auto GSR? In Japan or somewhere? my buddy said he's got an auto gsr cluster but i didn't think it was real. it redlines at 7500 rpms. also can you put an manual gauge cluster in an auto and vise versa?

You can switch gauges around. So he may have taken a GS-R tach and stuck it in the LS cluster, but in Japan they did have a Auto GS-R..

All gauge clusters from 94-97 are direct replacements for each other and are thus interchangable without modification. All gauge clusters from 98-01 are direct replacements for each other and are thus interchangable without modification. To fit a 94-97 cluster into a 98-01 car, or vice versa, there will be some slight modification that is necessary for everything to function properly.
