Hey all, picked these up monday. I really like them, what do you guys think? yea i know gotta lower it.

these came off a 96 del sol si. are these the same as LS wheels?

edit: are these wheels just clear coated or what? is there anything i can do about curb rashes?

 

i dont think they are the same as ls wheels. ls wheels are the mesh ones.

reason i thot these were the same as ls wheels is b/c in this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=740964 the 1st reply has a pic of these wheels and he says they are LS.

they are ls wheels i think. I used to have those for my drag radials. sorry for shitty pic..only one i had

still would like an answer though about if these are just clearcoated and what i can do to clean them and cover up curb rashes

if you really want to blow the moeny on them, there are compnaies that will fix and refinish them--but buy something else and use them for winter beaters

 

im not looking to spend any amount of money on making the wheels look nice. I just want to know what kind of wheel cleaner i can use and if you can clean up the curb rashes a bit to make them not look as obvious.

I was thinking along the lines of throwing some aircraft paint stripper on there, clean the curb rashes(so they arent black looking and dirty) and then put new clear on them. if its not worth the effort, screw it, im not going for looks anyways.

I bought these wheels b/c i got a real nice deal with the tires, steelies suck, and these are wider and lighter. I'm going for handling and autocross/track days.

I didn't buy a hatch b/c first of all i dont really like the way they look, but the real reason is b/c this is my first car and i wasnt into cars when i purchased it, so i didnt know what i wanted. Now that i have it, im going to work with what ive got.

anyways, i still they look awesome, so its all good. im not gonna pull the "its my car and it doesnt matter what you think" card cos i really dont care
