Sunroof on junkyard car, no engine, how do I take it off?
Well I had a glass moonroof on my 89 Crx Si but we had a hail storm last week and a piece of plexiglass is in its spot taped around for now. I finally located a new roof in my color about 60 miles away.
Now they said the car has no engine or battery and the moonroof is closed
How the heck do I get this moonroof out? Would I just be able to bring a battery and hook up the +/- and it will open?
Is there a way to access it while the thing is closed? I dont care if I mess up the roof on this junkyard car but I also want to have the right tools and a battery if I need one.
BTW- Its free they said if I can get it out

Look for a quarter sized plug in the headliner to the rear of the panel. Behind it will be an allen key to turn the roof mechanism. Your spare tire tool kit should have the tool in the pouch - it looks like an offset handle allen key wrech.
