i have a 93 del sol here and its throwing a code 19, automatic transmission lock up control, the question is, where is this sensor in the vehicle, on the transmission or what? thanks

 

Not sure, but isn't that the sensor under the auto-shifter?

 

so it might be underneath the automatic shift console?

 

just making sure u have an auto car, if u have 5sp and throwing that code u have an auto ecu...

but im guessing thats not it

 

ok first off, its not my car, i wouldnt get caught dead in a automatic del slow, but it is an automatic, and its gay, but im helping a girl out and trying to fix it

i think that would be the lock OUT sensor, not the lockup control valve. sounds to me like either the torque converter isnt going into lockup, or the computer isnt getting the signal that it is. i would imagine its on the tranny case. an easy way to find it, call honda. give em the vehilce info, and ask where the valve is, what it looks like etc, what kinda voltage it should have when lockup is engaged etc etc...
