Default EF Longevity

In your experiences how long do the body/frames of EF hatchbacks last in miles before they are no longer tight? By tight I mean start to rattle and slowly deteriorate, not rust? Thanks

actually i've owned the car almost a year, and all i've put on it was 3K miles... its a piece. i have to roll it down my driveway and pop the clutch every time i want to go somewhere. needless to say, i dont drive my car that much. but i keep telling myself that its an 88 HF, and when its running, its so much fun to drive i definatley have not goten my 675 dollars worth yet.

I just bought my beater back in january for 700bucks...it is STD hatch that was in good condition with 182k and I have already put about 4k on it in the short time that I have had it. I have done a few mods to it but don't want to take away from my real car. The only real mods I did besides fix a few missing things was lowered on Si wheels and an Integra console which was a must...hehe.

For all you guys w/ squeeky hatches try this...

1. Adjust rubber stops.
2. Wrap the hatch lock/stricker thing w/ duct tape or elec tape

I had 190k before i did my swap.....only issue is that my driver side door needs another support because it seems to be leaning a tad bit when my door is open.
