Honda Guru's need your help
Ok heres the layout, I have a 92 civic with a 95 motor ,D15b8, the motor has about 90k, been running just fine up until the last few days. When im at a light the car sound like it wants to turn off but doesnt, like it putt putt's. I rev the engine to keep it idled. Then I drive and come to another light and the car idles perfect. Ive done a tune up about a year ago and plan on doing one this weekend. The usual, plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, distributer cap. When i did the first tune up i couldnt figure out how to replace the rotor so i just got my money back for it. Could that be it or maybe the injectors or even the fuel pump. Hope you guys can help.
to replace the rotor, remove the dust cover around the rotor (it just comes right out) then tap the motor over until you can see the little screw in there holding the rotor on. unscrew it, and gently pry the rotor off.
as far as you diling problem, how does the car drive when its not idling? are there any hesitations, or stumbles? it sounds almost like a clogged fuel filter, or a bad fuel pump, but i would i dont think it would so intermittent if that were the case.

it could possibly be your rotor. I think there is a small screw on the side of the rotor you take out, then you just work the rotor out. Rotors are pretty cheap and since it hasn't been replaced you can try that.
correct me if im wrong guys.

He was talking about a distributor rotor... Not a brake rotor... LOL!
Yes, it's only one screw, you might need to crank the car until the screw hole is visible. I bet your dis. rotor is worn to ****. Post a picture if you want, I will let you know if it could be causing the issue, more than likely it is...

thanks guys for all the help. i think im going to try to do the tune up this weekend. i think the problem will be the rotor, becuz i didnt replace it the last time i did a tune up. it was pretty worn out, the last time i did the tune up. and on the rotor, i thought thats how you got it off. ill let yall know if thats what it was.
