CTR intake cam and CTR n1 pulley
Im about to install a CTR intake cam and a CTR n1 crank pulley on my 2000 si with i/h/e/fpr and i was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar setup and what kind of gains will i be expecting from the cam and pulley, i plan on completely removing my ps and ac as well...t

Ill be sure to let everyone know the results, and as for the exhaust cam, from what I have heard the CTR exhaust cam wont really do anything for me but once again I dont know anyone with this setup but if it is worth the extra 250 Im gonna go ahead and buy the exhaust cam so i can put them both in at the same time, Would it be worth it? or no? let me know, thanks for everyones input....OH and 1hotcivicsi, when you removed your ps and ac was there any noticable gains? and did you just remove the belts or both complete systems?

Dyno, and then let us know how much you got.</TD></TR></TABLE>
are you on CRACK?? you will not gain 8-9 with just intake cam....
the pulley will give you NO hp!!

If he removes the PS with the pulley that will give him HP, and I've seen that pulley make power over the stock pulley, less weight to turn.

yes....you are taking DRAG off the engine...same thing if you clearnace you bearings on the main and rods "loose" you gainhp.....
but YOU DO NOT GAIN hp's from a ctr crank pully!!!
you are not taking drag off the engine,,,not if taking ps and ac off and putting the ctr on he will gain power because he took 2 belts off the engine rotation!!

Unfortunatley I do not have stock dyno graphs, but I am planning on doing a before and after with the pulley and removal of the ps and ac and with the cam...anyone know about the exhaust cam? worth the money or no?
i would not recommend not just removing the belts of the ac and ps systems. Take out the whole system if you are going to do it. Its much cleaner to just take the whole power steering system out and then you can loop your steering rack and even install a breather if you'd like for easier steering. If you just take the belt of though and leave the pump and everything in there your wheel will be hard as **** to turn. Also just removing your ac belt isn't going to do ****. You are only really losing power with the ac belt when the ac is turned on. The power steering however is being run all the time and taking off this belt will show gains. Also as far as ac goes the only reason to really take it out is to lose about 40-50 lbs. and to clean up your engine bay and make room for other stuff. I have removed my ps and ac and my engine bay looks so much cleaner now
what do you mean when you say loop the rack? ive heard it a few times but being the noob that i am, im lost when you say loop the rack, and where would you install a breather to make it easier to turn? thanks for all the help guys
looping the rack consists of taking out the pump and all the hoses going into the rack and all the other power steering stuff. Then where the two lines ran into the rack before you install a u shaped hose. i used a "power cooler" hose from acura. You will need a couple aeroquip fittings to fit the hose to where the metal line came out of the rack before. Then to install a breather you can install a T fitting into the u shaped hose and run another hose up to some kind of filter or something for a breather.
i have both the CTR intake cam and CTR n1 pulley and "YES" it made a big difference.
