Default First step modding my accord

Here are my plans for the Accord. Let me know how they sound, and if I will notice a pretty good increase in power. thanks chad
F22A1,
1. Delta regrind 272 cam.
2. Intake cold air
3. Headers 4-2-1
4. Prelude injectors
5. fuel management
Thats too start. eventually, when I have the $ definitely love to get back into the turbo stuff. I can still pick that stuff up pretty cheap from my DSM buddies.

Cool. no, I am not too into the lowered stuff. I am gonna get wheels, proth suspension kit and strut bar. That will pretty much do it for now. I want to work mostly on the motor. I am older, so I just want a nice, pretty fast driver. thanks chad

you might want to consider a somewhat lowered suspension and maybe even a little better brakes to handle the extra hp

What is the benefit of the prelude injectors?

It gives you more fuel. Now, you can't just put them on. they are higher cc's, so you would run like A$$ if you just put them on. You need a controller to keep them in check. I am looking at SAFC, but am open to anyone's opinion. My purpose, is with the longer open lobes of the cam, more air on the cold air intake, and more air going out (exhaust), It will run lean, the ecu will be putting out 100% and cause fuel cut at high RPM's because the motor will want more. These will help block that. I also have a little something up my sleeve, but won't let that out until I dyno it with and without. It should be worth another 20 or so HP. will let ya'll know. Hope these mods are on the right track though. Thanks for your inputs.

I have a '90 Accord, it used to have the F22A1, now it has a JDM H22. If you would like to notice a pretty good increase in power I would suggest saving your money and going with an H22.

I had a cold air intake, 4-2-1 header, high flow cat, and a cat-back exhaust on my F22A1, and the power increase was unnoticeable and in hindsight was a waste of money. But good luck with your build and that motor. I would like to know what you can get out of it.

Just my $.02

well, the injectors are more for when I put some boost too it. I am just getting everything ready for that. I am gonna run a cozy 3-5 psi, for longevity. As far as noticeable, I can notice a difference with just an intake (made from extra DSM parts ), but I understand what you are saying about a swap for more horsepower for the buck. But, I would rather save that money for boosting, cuz I don't see having both the money for the turbo and for the engine swap. I choose the better of the two in my thoughts. More get up for the price. I can pick alot of the turbo stuff up from my DSM pals. Also, I already have the missing link, and a couple of other things. Part by Part
