How Can I Lower My Crx (have parts car with tokiko blue I think)
I guess Im relatively new to cars, I have a 89 Crx Si and right now its on completely stock suspension.
I also have a parts car, that car is lowerred but I dont know with what, the spring (coil looking around the outside) is pretty dirty so I cant tell but the thing on the inside (I really am sorry for being so dumb) is blue. Could those be tokiko blues?
I want to lower my crx but I dont want to buy something that I dont have to.
Is it hard to take off the tokiko blues off the one car and bring them to the next. My dad could help me but are there any special tools other than a spring compressor?
If I could use the things on the inside (shocks???) would I just have to find an adjustable coilover? There like 100 bucks right? Because I want to be able to adjust
Im hoping someone can help me.

if your donor has tokico blues and coils, it is a direct swap as long as its a civic or crx / same years.. very easy to do maybe 1 hour total.. take the 3 bolts out of hte shock tower and then on the back take hte bolt out of the lca.. in the front remove the fork and hte 3 tower bolts and yank them out

***So here's what you should do. Jack the parts car up, pop off the wheels, and wipe down the springs and shocks as best you can. Then you'll be able to figure out exactly what it is you're working with. The shocks probably are Tokico Blues, and the springs might be decent to use as well - you just gotta look and find out.***

***Not that hard at all. Bolts may be difficult to remove. If so, give them a shot of a penetrating lube like PB Blaster, and let it sit overnight. That should do the trick. If not, you can always heat the bolt up with a small propane torch and loosen it that way.***

***Good adjustable coilovers are a little more than $100. Ground Control are the best sleeve-type adjustable coilovers, and those run for about $300 for the set. You can get some E-Bay crap specials for $100 though, I'm sure...just don't expect them to last all that long.***

Hopefully that helps a bit!

That actually really did help. I think I get how to unbolts the top of the suspension, like when your in the trunk I can see the top sticking out, is there like 3 bolts holding that in there and when I undo it the assembly will just drop down?
How east is it to get the spring/shock away from the bottom? How and were is it connected?
Like I said Im fairly new to cars but Im sure my father could do it and show me while hes doing it but hes gone for a month or so so I wanna learn how or maybe even try it myself.
Do i still need a spring compressor?
Also how are the coils adjusted to ride higher or lower? It didnt come with any tools or can I just turn something?
THanks you guys

You shouldnt need the spring compressor unless you planin on changing out the strut.
I not trying to be a jerk or anything but go pick yourself a helms manual or something of that sort at your local auto parts store. It would have pics and everything on how to take them out. At least thats what I look at when im stuck. Good Luck
