CAM lock or Buckle (harnesses)
well im a poor and proud new owner of sparco fighter seats and an autopower 4 point with harness bar roll bar.
seats and cage will be at my house next week. but have to wait on the rails for the seats
anyways. im stuck on harnesses.
i need a harness that will wrap around the harness bar right behind my seat. im stuck on the schorth
which can be bolted or wraped. HAS A BUCKLE SYSTEM
and the sparco comp harness. which is basically the same set up. but HAS CAM LOCK and wider straps.
the car will be driven a lot. and used for different things.
please no u need 5-6 point harness posts. thanks~!

You don't want a 5- or 6-point? Okay then, have fun submarining under your lap belt in an accident.
Wider belts are a must.
Buckle type is personal preference; IMHO camlocks are easier to get in and out of.

What he said. Everything I've heard about 4pts being sold with "anti-submarining" technology seems to just be a joke. Stick with what will save your life, 5pt.
I'd also consider the G-Force harnesses in a 5pt, camlock and 3inch. http://www.discoveryparts.com/ has specials on them right now.

Hm
Personally, I prefer the aircraft buckle "latch-link" type with 3" belts and harness assembly. Granted they can be pricey. If you look at either M&R or Crow you will find good prices for this or the camlock style. I use Simpson-but that is me.
The Camlock units are very nice but in some cases are harder to latch for me than the old-fashioned method. I will urge as will others that you seriously consider adding the 5th "anit-submarine" strap to the setup as most sanctioning bodies require it for racing anyway. Autocross is a bit different. The picture shows a nice unit-but not of the same caliber as the ones that are required for competition. I would rather have the added webbing myself. Whether you choose a camlock or latch-link is up to you-they are both user friendly and easy to get out of.
