Hi
I have a 99 civic SI(r) and i was thinking of lowering the car.
I want to lower it just enough to close the gap and not to cause some camber issues....so what springs would you recommend.....
I'll also mention that my car is a dail driver and i dont want to loose to much on comfortable ride.

There a couple good choices for springs. Eibach's ride pretty comfortably, that's what I'm using. Also, when you do the springs do it right the first time and throw some shocks on there too

 

If you want a comfortable ride, you'll want springs with soft rates that are close to stock, like RS*R lowering springs, Tein S-Techs, or the Eibach Pro-Kit. These are soft enough to work with stock shocks, but I would recommend replacing shocks with aftermarket ones for longevity anyway. The springs I listed all have pretty mild drops though, so if you want the car pretty low, you'll have to compromise somewhere.

As for camber, any time you change the height of the suspension, camber is changed. However, unless you're dumping the car to the ground, you don't have much to worry about. When you take the car for an alignment after installing the springs (this is a must) have the alignment shop ignore the camber and set your toe to factory specs so that your tires won't wear unevenly.

 

yes i dont itend to change shocks yet...so maybe in a year or so

i was thinking of TEIN S TECH

also do u think its better to have even drop all around or have front droppet a bit more than rear....i think Eibachs do this
