Spring Autocross ---> Time to choose my suspension!
94 Integra GSR
This spring I plan on autocrossing for the first time with my car. I have been researching different suspensions and am finally ready to buy. I live in the Northeast and will probably garage my car next winter. My current setup is AEM CAI, Comptech Header, Comptech Strut Bar, C8's with yokohama paradas, drilled/slotted rotors w/ axxis pads.
I plan on dropping about 2500 on my teg this spring between suspension, completing the exhaust, and a few more goodies (rear strut/sway bar/lower tie).
My current suspension choices Are Tein Type Flex/ JIC FLT-A2
I considered Zeal but it was a bit too pricey, so.... NOW I ask,"All those with knowledge, drop it on me!"

Depending on the Class you are running in Threaded Bodied shocks could be illeagal, the used to be illegal in Street Prepared and street touring if I am remebering correctly, so Thread sleves are probably your best bet.
See what other people are using and copy them.
I'd suggest the less glamorous Koni Yellow, Ground Control sleeves with your choice of custom rates.
Skip the Paradas and go with the Azensis, skip the fancy rotors just get the blanks with an aggressive pad... Colbalt Friction will be able to help you out. Stick with a 15" set-up, better acceleration plus cheaper tires.

Honestly the Koni Yellow/Ground Control is going to be one of your best bets and won't be nearly as hard on the wallet. I'm running a fully tuned Ohlins PCV setup and recommend it to anyone who is able to afford it.
since you are gonna be a new autoXer, I would suggest you dont do any suspension mods. In fact, the engine mods you done will put you in a pretty high class already. AutoX is about skill, not the car, so a new suspesion will hurt you in the long run. It can "teach" you sloppy habbits and let you think that your skill is better than what it is. If possible, and if you want to be serious about autoX, I would go back to stock, and compete in a stock class. There is so much to learn about your car and car control, so the mods (engine and suspension) should be selected based on the input you get fromy your car and driving style while competing. Once you get a few runs and a few shcools under your belt, then start to mod your car. Also, see what the guys in the Roadrace and AutoX section say.
Howver, if you dont care to be competitive, then mod away...

Hey, don't rule out zeal b6 cuz it's a bit more expensive...it really is an excellent suspension and worth the extra $$. I am running zeal b6 on my integra and absolutely love it. You won't go wrong with zeals...
Also, in regards to autocross...i went with my stock gsr first time. I have lots of new stuff for this coming season, so i'm really looking forward to it...that's if ny ever warms up. What **** weather.
Learning how to drive is more important than the mods on your car.
